This onsite Section Lead position oversees engineers conducting studies of system, system-of-systems, and airborne kill chain performance. The leader guides staffing, performance management, career growth, compensation activities, and compliance while ensuring the team has meaningful assignments and development opportunities. Most of the position remains focused on engineering work, including evaluating operational concepts, exploring technology applications, and supporting defense modeling and simulation efforts. The role works closely with program managers, chief engineers, technical specialists, customers, and air combat operators to resolve issues and communicate progress. It suits an experienced defense engineering leader with strong collaboration skills, relevant modeling or weapons-systems expertise, and an active U.S. security clearance.

Requirements

STEM degree with minimum 8 years relevant experience in defense industryActive Top Secret DoD security clearance and U.S. citizenship required before startProven experience leading engineering teamsBackground in defense modeling, high-fidelity simulations, weapon systems, or kill chain analysisExperience working with DoD, Pentagon, or military customersStrong leadership and communication skills
