Design Integrity Checker

This position belongs to RTX’s Hardware Design Integrity organization, which protects the quality and integrity of engineering data used to develop and produce defense systems. The successful candidate will formally review mechanical or electrical drawings, models, bills of material, and related technical documentation for accuracy, synchronization, manufacturability, and compliance with applicable standards. Mechanical work may involve machined parts, castings, and model-based designs, while electrical work may cover circuit assemblies, printed wiring boards, schematics, and electronic bills of material. The role may eventually support both disciplines after appropriate training and requires collaboration with engineers, program teams, and leadership to resolve design and process issues. It is well suited to an experienced design checker, drafter, or engineer comfortable with CAD tools, detailed technical data, evolving processes, and regulated aerospace environments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5 years of relevant experience, an advanced degree with 3 years, or 9 years of relevant experience without a degreeActive and transferable U.S. government security clearance, with ability to obtain an interim clearance; U.S. citizenship requiredAt least 5 years designing, drafting, or verifying detailed technical data packagesExperience with CAD design or drafting toolsMechanical candidates: experience with Creo/ProE, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Raster, Canvas, GTXImage, or MyriadElectrical candidates: experience with Mentor Boardstation, EXPEDITION-DxDESIGNER, or related electrical design software
