This position is part of the Data Center Operations team and reports to the Manager of Engineering Operations. The engineer helps operate and maintain systems such as UPS equipment, generators, cooling, fire and life safety, building management, and maintenance management platforms in a continuous-operations environment. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, responding to abnormal events, overseeing low-risk maintenance work, supporting construction activities, and preparing operational and incident documentation. The role requires primary strength in either electrical or mechanical systems, along with working capability in the other discipline. It suits a detail-oriented facilities professional with at least one year of relevant mission-critical experience who can work independently, communicate clearly, and safely perform hands-on tasks in a data center.

Requirements

At least 1 year of mission-critical facilities, engineering, or equivalent equipment experienceHands-on expertise in electrical or mechanical systems with competence in the other disciplineKnowledge of UPS, cooling, generators, fire/life safety, redundancy, and energy efficiency systemsExperience with CMMS, DCIM, BMS, power metering, and change or incident managementStrong troubleshooting, communication, organization, and documentation skillsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work beneath raised data center floors
