Senior Reliability Engineer

This engineer will develop and execute reliability strategies spanning product development, manufacturing, and sustainment. Working within RTX’s Lifecycle Engineering organization, they will perform or guide FMECA, reliability prediction, derating, environmental stress screening, and failure-reporting activities. The position also involves mentoring less-experienced engineers, reviewing technical documentation, and ensuring work aligns with applicable standards. It suits an experienced STEM professional who can collaborate across engineering disciplines, communicate clearly with customers and teams, and drive technical issues through resolution. The role is onsite in Tucson and requires U.S. citizenship along with the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance before starting.

Requirements

STEM degree with minimum 5 years of relevant reliability engineering experienceProficiency in FMECA, Reliability Predictions, ESS, Derating, and FRACAS methodologiesActive and transferable Secret-level DoD security clearance or ability to obtain interim clearanceU.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibilityStrong technical communication skills and ability to review documentation for standards complianceExperience supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams and customer collaboration
