Systems Engineer II – Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer

This engineer will contribute to the design and integration of embedded missile flight algorithms, firmware, and six-degree-of-freedom simulations. The position supports performance studies, optimization, Monte Carlo analysis, verification, and development of new or improved capabilities. Working in an Agile product environment, the engineer will help plan technical work, track outcomes, and provide guidance to less experienced team members. The role is part of Raytheon’s Effectors PG&C organization and requires consistent onsite collaboration in Tucson. It is well suited to an engineer with hands-on GNC, signal processing, navigation, controls, or modeling and simulation experience who can work across software and systems disciplines.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field with minimum 2 years relevant experienceExperience with GNC, Signal Processing, and/or Modeling/SimulationProficiency in digital control systems, dynamics, Kalman filters, Monte Carlo analysis, or system-level performance assessmentsProgramming experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, or Object-Oriented designActive and transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance required on day 1U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility
