Manufacturing Engineering Section Manager

This manager will lead a team of approximately 10 to 25 technical leads, manufacturing engineers, project engineers, and test engineers supporting a strategic manufacturing center. The position combines people leadership with responsibility for manufacturing engineering expertise, process control, resource planning, estimates-at-complete forecasting, proposals, and production problem resolution. The manager will collaborate with factory leaders, safety and performance groups, internal customers, and other engineering sections while working regularly in manufacturing areas. It is suited to an experienced STEM professional who has led teams or projects and understands manufacturing life-cycle principles, risk management, and engineering processes. Experience with missile systems, shop-floor operations, MRP tools, lean manufacturing, and cost forecasting would be advantageous.

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and at least 8 years of relevant experienceExperience leading teams or engineering projectsAbility to obtain an interim Secret U.S. government security clearance before startingU.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibilityManufacturing engineering and test process expertiseExperience with missile systems, MRP/SAP, lean manufacturing, risk management, or EAC forecasting preferred
