The engineer serves as the onsite supplier quality representative supporting factory meetings, process assessments, and reviews of nonconforming hardware. They use quality data to identify recurring supplier issues, lead root-cause investigations, and ensure corrective actions are accurate, effective, and sustained. The role also involves supporting quarantine, containment, inspection, and screening activities for suspect materials. Success requires collaboration with suppliers, manufacturing, engineering, and other quality functions in a regulated aerospace and defense environment. This position suits a quality or manufacturing professional with hands-on hardware experience, familiarity with aerospace quality systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and typically five years of related quality, operations, engineering, or technical experienceExperience with Root Cause Corrective Action tools and processesKnowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systemsAbility to inspect hardware and interpret engineering drawingsU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an interim DoD Secret clearanceSupplier relationship management and familiarity with SAP/PRISM or Microsoft Office are preferred
