Section Leader - Mission Planning Section 2 (Onsite)

This position oversees a mission planning team responsible for developing and applying solutions across weapons and aerospace programs. The section leader balances technical contribution with administrative responsibilities, including staffing, mentoring, performance management, work allocation, and career development. Projects may involve mission analysis, modeling and simulation, aircraft and store integration, software development, and related operational concepts. The role is suited to an experienced STEM professional with strong mission-planning expertise, leadership ability, and experience working in cleared defense environments. Candidates must be U.S. citizens with an active Secret clearance and be prepared to work onsite in Tucson, Arizona.

Requirements

8+ years relevant experience in mission planning, weapons systems, CONOPS, or related aerospace/defense engineeringActive and transferable DoD Secret security clearance with U.S. citizenshipExperience with aircraft integration, store interfaces, or aerodynamics (LAR, 6-DOF modeling)Software development background in Linux, C++, C#, or Java environmentsPrior management or mentoring experience with demonstrated ability to develop and communicate with diverse teamsKnowledge of military operations concepts and weapons system performance analysis
