Prototype Engineering Planner I

This position supports Raytheon’s Bike Shop team by turning engineering designs into actionable plans for prototype and developmental hardware. The planner interprets drawings and technical documentation, creates manufacturing instructions, records as-built configurations, analyzes bills of material, and tracks materials through procurement and inventory systems. The role partners with designers, suppliers, stores, quality personnel, and other engineering disciplines to resolve discrepancies and improve processes. It is suited to an early-career STEM graduate who is organized, collaborative, comfortable with complex material workflows, and interested in hands-on engineering support. The position is onsite in Tucson, Arizona and requires U.S. citizenship plus an active Secret clearance.

Bachelor's degree in STEM fieldLess than one year of relevant engineering or manufacturing experienceAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret-level DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship requiredExperience with inventory control, material procurement databases, and BOM analysisStrong technical documentation and collaborative communication skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and engineering drawing interpretation
