As a Systems Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and integrating comprehensive security solutions across Raytheon defense products, with emphasis on anti-tamper, cyber security, and program protection measures. Working within the Systems Security Engineering team, you'll collaborate closely with DoD customers to translate security needs into technical requirements, conduct vulnerability assessments through attack threat modeling, and develop implementation strategies that balance security with operational effectiveness. This role suits engineers with embedded systems or security backgrounds who are comfortable working on classified defense programs and want to directly impact national security through technical innovation. You'll manage technical trades, create system architectures, and guide teams through complex security implementations while maintaining strict compliance with government technology release policies. The position requires someone comfortable with hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and the structured environment of defense contracting.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in STEM field with minimum 2 years of Systems Security Engineering, Anti-Tamper, or Embedded System Security experienceActive and transferable U.S. DoD Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship requiredExperience designing and implementing real-time embedded security solutions for DoD programsProficiency in developing systems requirements, design artifacts, and security architecturesKnowledge of attack threat modeling and Critical Program Information (CPI) assessmentsFamiliarity with DoD directives and compliance requirements for technology protection
