Calling all Secret-Cleared Optical Engineers! (Chandler)

This role supports the development of optical systems for missile defense spacecraft and interceptors, with responsibilities spanning modeling, simulation, design analysis, and system-level performance ownership. Engineers will assess how structural and thermal conditions affect imaging quality and line of sight, collaborate with opto-mechanical teams, and use industry-standard optical and CAD tools. The team values innovation, teamwork, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to learn unfamiliar technologies. Opportunities may be available at several experience levels, from early-career engineers through highly experienced technical professionals. This position is best suited to candidates with aerospace, defense, imaging, sensing, or seeker-system experience who hold an active U.S. Department of Defense Secret clearance.

Requirements

Active U.S. DoD Secret clearance at applicationBachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree with applicable engineering experienceExperience with optical imaging, sensing, or seeker systemsOptical modeling experience with tools such as ZEMAX, Code V, or FREDUnderstanding of structural and thermal effects on optical performanceExperience with 3D CAD and opto-mechanical interfaces
