Senior Software Security Engineer - S3E

This engineer will design, implement, integrate, and test security-focused software within real-time missile applications. The work is part of Raytheon’s Software Security Sensors and Effectors department and includes collaboration with Systems Security Engineering and customer teams to mature and verify solutions. The position requires practical knowledge of embedded processors, operating systems, hardware interfaces, and the performance tradeoffs of security controls. It is well suited to an experienced embedded software professional who has worked with C/C++, real-time systems, and preferably defense or security-oriented applications. The role is onsite in Tucson and requires U.S. citizenship plus the ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret clearance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in STEM field plus 5+ years of relevant software engineering experienceProficiency in C/C++ with embedded systems development backgroundExperience with Xilinx UltraScale+ MPSoC or similar embedded processors and VxWorks/Embedded LinuxActive or ability to obtain Interim Secret-level DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship requiredKnowledge of embedded software security, cryptographic algorithms, and secure boot conceptsExperience designing or fielding real-time security solutions on DoD programs
