Ocotillo Technology Fabrication Defect Metrology Layer Owner – Win It Inline

This engineer will own defect analysis for part of Intel Foundry’s Arizona fabrication operation as part of the Win It Inline initiative. They will apply statistical methods, data mining, and metrology expertise to distinguish meaningful defect sources from baseline or exclusionary signals and drive improvements. The position involves leading cross-functional investigations, continuous improvement efforts, and troubleshooting activities spanning process engineering, integration, yield, technicians, and equipment vendors. It suits a technically strong semiconductor professional who enjoys hands-on manufacturing problem solving, communicates effectively across organizations, and can operate well amid changing priorities. Experience with startup environments, programming, statistical process control, and wafer fabrication would be especially valuable.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical science, statistics, data science, or a related field2+ years of semiconductor fabrication or process experience, or a relevant master’s degreeExperience with SPC, DOE, and statistical data analysisProficiency or experience with JMP/JSL, Python, R, or SQL preferredStrong defect metrology, troubleshooting, and process/yield engineering skillsAbility to collaborate across manufacturing, process, integration, yield, and vendor teams
