Manufacturing Equipment Technician (MTE) - Day Shift - Shift 5

This technician will diagnose electrical and mechanical problems, perform repairs, calibrations, setups, and preventive maintenance on advanced manufacturing tools. The position is part of Intel’s Substrate and Wafer Assembly technology development organization and involves close cooperation with engineers, process specialists, and other support groups. Daily work includes recording maintenance details, analyzing equipment information, investigating root causes, and contributing to projects that improve yield and availability. It suits a technically capable person who can work independently, manage changing priorities, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced cleanroom. Candidates must be comfortable with extended floor work, protective clothing, chemical safety requirements, lifting, ladder use, and long periods of walking or standing.

Requirements

Technical associate degree plus 2+ years of maintenance experience, or an equivalent education and experience combinationHands-on troubleshooting and repair of electromechanical manufacturing equipmentAbility to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and data logsExperience with wet chemistry, plating, or dry high-vacuum systems is preferredStrong problem-solving, documentation, communication, and teamwork skillsAbility to work in a cleanroom, handle required safety gear, lift up to 35 pounds, and work extended floor shifts
