Ocotillo Failure Analysis Engineer – TEM/AutoTEM Engineer
This role sits within Intel’s semiconductor manufacturing and failure analysis function, providing microscopy-based insight into product and process problems. The engineer will prepare and examine samples, run AutoTEM workflows, interpret structural imaging, and communicate findings to failure analysis, yield, and process engineering partners. Responsibilities also include improving automated workflows, maintaining documentation, monitoring equipment health, and supporting lab throughput and turnaround goals. The position is well suited to an early-career engineer or physicist with exposure to microscopy, materials characterization, semiconductor processing, or device physics. Success requires careful data analysis, collaborative communication, adaptability, and the ability to work on site in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
