Ocotillo Technology Fabrication Defect Metrology System Engineer – Win It Inline

This engineer will develop, optimize, and sustain metrology and yield-analysis systems used in both technology development and high-volume manufacturing. The work involves combining defect, process, electrical, and equipment data to identify yield constraints, guide experiments, and support manufacturing and product decisions. The engineer will partner with equipment, automation, operations, and fabrication teams while building reliable tools, algorithms, visualizations, and AI/ML solutions. The position is part of Intel Foundry’s technology development and yield organization, supporting the Win It Inline effort in Arizona. It suits an engineer or scientist with semiconductor or other advanced-manufacturing experience who enjoys coding, statistical problem-solving, and cross-functional technical work.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years, or a master’s degree or higher, in engineering, computer science, physics, chemistry, materials science, or a related fieldSoftware development experience with languages or platforms such as Python, C#/.NET, HTML, or JavaScript, preferably involving AI/MLExperience with statistical analysis and analytical methodsExperience preparing domain-specific data for analysisAt least 1 year in an advanced manufacturing environmentKnowledge of at least two of Git, intermediate SQL, or manufacturing automation troubleshooting
