This onsite Tucson position directs mechanical design, analysis, integration, testing, and production ramp-up activities for the Ultra Stack program. The IPTL works closely with program leadership, operations, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to qualify suppliers, establish alternate production sources, and address technical and manufacturing risks. Responsibilities include setting execution plans, mentoring engineering teams, communicating status to stakeholders, and overseeing supplier audits and readiness efforts. The role also involves maintaining detailed records of engineering actions, configuration, supplier performance, quality trends, and risk-reduction plans, with approximately 25% travel early on. It suits an experienced mechanical engineer and technical leader who has worked with integrated product teams, manufacturing readiness, supplier development, and defense hardware, and who holds an active Secret clearance.
