Sr. Manufacturing Development Engineer

This engineer will lead manufacturing planning and technical improvement efforts across a program’s extended value stream. Responsibilities include developing manufacturing data packages, defining assembly and workflow requirements, reviewing engineering designs, assessing factory capabilities, and resolving production constraints. The position serves as a manufacturing and producibility resource while partnering with multidisciplinary teams on design changes, corrective actions, lean improvements, and process enhancements. It is suited to an experienced manufacturing professional with hands-on production knowledge, strong technical communication skills, and familiarity with drawings, GD&T, CAD, and manufacturing systems. The position is onsite at RTX’s Tucson, Arizona facility and requires U.S. citizenship along with the ability to obtain the required security and program access clearances.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and at least 5 years of relevant experienceExperience in manufacturing production and process development or improvementAbility to obtain interim Secret clearance and maintain required government accessKnowledge of technical drawings, GD&T, and CAD solid modelingHands-on mechanical aptitude and cross-functional teamwork skillsExperience with MRP systems, manufacturing readiness assessments, or lean improvement preferred
