Mechanical Engineer II – Test Equipment, Onsite (Tucson, AZ)

This engineer will join Raytheon’s multidisciplinary Test Equipment Engineering organization, which creates test solutions used throughout product development, manufacturing, verification, and sustainment. Responsibilities include designing mechanical systems for environments such as vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and electro-optical testing, as well as producing the associated drawings and technical documentation. The engineer will also validate equipment, troubleshoot manufacturing problems, and recommend improvements to increase accuracy and reliability. The position suits a mechanical engineer with hands-on design and production-support experience who is comfortable using 3D CAD and applying GD&T. It is a 100% onsite role in Tucson and requires U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 2 years of relevant engineering experience, or an advanced related degreeAt least 2 years of mechanical design and/or production-support experienceAt least 2 years using 3D CAD tools, preferably Creo or Pro/EngineerWorking knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Experience creating mechanical drawings or engineering documentationU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
