Senior Thin Film Metrology Engineer

This engineer will support Intel’s Manufacturing Development and Customer Engineering organization by owning thin film metrology activities from recipe creation and qualification through production support and continuous improvement. The work includes analyzing statistical and process data, developing OCD models, optimizing sampling and measurement systems, and resolving issues that affect product quality or yield. The engineer will partner with Technology Development, Process Integration, Yield, and fab module teams to introduce new technologies and maintain manufacturing capability. The position also contributes to cross-site alignment, factory task forces, experiments, and design-technology co-optimization. It suits an experienced semiconductor engineer who is comfortable with advanced-node manufacturing, complex technical problem solving, matrixed collaboration, and communicating findings to varied audiences.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, physics, or related field4+ years of thin film metrology experience in high-volume manufacturing4+ years of advanced-node semiconductor manufacturing or development experienceData analysis and statistics experience; machine learning exposure is a plusExperience with OCD model development preferredStrong cross-functional problem-solving and communication skills
