Ocotillo Technology Fabrication Defect Metrology Layer Owner

This position leads defect analysis for a segment of Intel Foundry’s fabrication line, helping convert real-time inline metrology data into actions that improve process capability, stability, quality, and yield. The owner investigates defect trends, distinguishes baseline and exclusionary sources, recommends fixes, and coordinates resolution across process engineering, integration, yield, manufacturing, and vendor teams. The work includes supporting new technology startups and transfers, troubleshooting complex manufacturing problems, and contributing expertise to cross-functional improvement projects. It suits an analytical semiconductor professional who is comfortable with statistical methods, data programming, ambiguity, and influencing stakeholders across organizational boundaries. The role is based onsite in Phoenix, Arizona, and may favor candidates eligible for a U.S. government TS/SCI clearance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, statistics, data science, or a related field2+ years of semiconductor fabrication and process experience, or a related master’s degreeExperience with SPC, DOE, and statistical data analysisProficiency or experience with JMP/JSL, Python, R, or SQL preferredStrong defect troubleshooting, metrology, communication, and cross-functional teamwork skillsSemiconductor manufacturing, foundry/OSAT, process/yield engineering, or technology startup experience preferred
