EHS Lead II / Site EHS Leader

The EHS Lead II / Site EHS Leader is responsible for driving practical and effective EHS execution across three ASM Arizona semiconductor facilities, serving as a trusted advisor to operations, engineering, facilities, and site leadership. The role encompasses broad program ownership including workplace safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance (air, water, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous materials), contractor management, incident investigation, and emergency preparedness. This position requires translating complex regulatory requirements and corporate standards into actionable procedures and field controls while building strong working relationships across the organization. The role suits experienced EHS professionals with semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing background who can influence without direct authority, use data to drive improvements, and balance regulatory rigor with operational pragmatism. Success is measured by consistent program implementation, demonstrated environmental compliance, strong stakeholder partnerships, and readiness for audits and inspections.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in occupational health/safety, environmental science, engineering, or related technical field5+ years progressive EHS leadership in semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or similar technical operationsWorking knowledge of environmental compliance programs including air, water, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous materials, and associated permitsStrong understanding of workplace safety and industrial hygiene in cleanrooms, labs, manufacturing, and contractor-controlled environmentsFamiliarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, EHS management systems, incident management, and audit programsProfessional certification preferred (CSP, ASP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent)
