Open role
HVM Field Process Engineer – PEALD, PECVD
As a Field Process Engineer, you'll be embedded at customer high-volume manufacturing fabs as the primary technical authority for PEALD and PECVD processes on ASM's XP8 platforms. Your responsibilities span process qualification during equipment installations, designing and executing experiments to improve film quality and throughput, and systematically diagnosing and resolving technical issues that arise during production. You'll work closely with both customer engineers and ASM internal teams to drive continuous improvement, document process learnings, and ensure equipment performance aligns with business requirements. This role suits engineers who thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments where technical depth is paired with strong communication skills and the ability to build credible partnerships with customers. You'll need hands-on expertise in deposition science, experimental methodology, and semiconductor manufacturing, with willingness to travel to customer sites regularly.
