Open role
Mechanical Engineer II - Structural Engineer
This engineer will join Raytheon’s Mechanical Analysis and Test organization, a large technical group responsible for structural and thermal integrity across a broad product portfolio. Work spans early design evaluations, detailed stress analysis, qualification testing, model correlation, and support for systems already in production. The position involves developing test strategies, reviewing analysis results, preparing formal technical documentation, and presenting conclusions to internal teams and customers. Assignments may include both classical engineering calculations and finite element analysis using tools such as NASTRAN, ANSYS, or ABAQUS, with occasional travel to test facilities. It is well suited to an early-career structural engineer who can work collaboratively, communicate clearly, and is interested in mission-critical aerospace and defense programs. The role is onsite in Tucson and requires U.S. citizenship plus the ability to obtain and maintain a transferable Secret clearance.
