This principal-level engineer serves as the networking SME for Raytheon Digital Technology’s Classified Infrastructure Services organization. The position leads troubleshooting and solution design for complex Cisco LAN/WAN, routing, switching, firewall, segmentation, encryption, and secure communications environments. It also guides major network projects, technology evaluations, operational standards, modernization roadmaps, and performance improvements across multiple programs. The engineer works closely with cybersecurity, systems engineering, operations, vendors, and senior leaders, while mentoring less-experienced networking staff and briefing executives on significant initiatives. This opportunity suits an experienced classified-network professional who can combine deep technical expertise with strategic planning, communication, and organizational leadership in an onsite defense environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 7+ yearsExpert experience supporting classified, enterprise Cisco LAN/WAN environments with strong Layer 2 and Layer 3 knowledgeExperience with network boundary protection, preferably Palo Alto firewalls8570 IAT Level III or 8140 Advanced certification plus Cisco professional/expert certification, such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or CASP+Experience with at least two Cisco technologies such as SD-WAN, SD-Access, ACI, ISE, or Unified CommunicationsActive transferable Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required
