Embedded Software Security Engineer II - S3E

This engineer will design, build, integrate, and verify security-focused software for deployed missile platforms and other real-time embedded systems. The position sits within the Software Security Sensors and Effectors department and involves partnering with systems security engineers, customers, and broader program teams to translate requirements into reliable implementations. Work may include secure boot, cryptography, processor and FPGA interfaces, low-level drivers, and embedded operating systems such as VxWorks or Embedded Linux. The role is well suited to an early-career software engineer with strong C/C++ skills, scripting experience, and familiarity with Agile development who wants to work on mission-critical defense technology. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret clearance are required, and the position is based onsite in Tucson.

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and at least 2 years of relevant software experienceProfessional experience developing in C and C++Experience in Agile or a comparable software development processScripting experience with Python, Perl, or a similar languageU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain an interim Secret clearanceExperience with embedded systems, real-time software, Linux, VxWorks, security, or processor interfaces preferred
