Senior Integrated Design Manager

The Design Manager leads all aspects of data center design programs from inception through initial construction phases, serving as the primary point of contact between land enablement teams and construction managers. The role involves coordinating external design teams, reviewing and approving technical deliverables, managing project budgets and timelines, and ensuring designs meet Aligned's efficiency standards and customer specifications. This position reports to senior leadership and requires strong technical knowledge of data center construction, advanced project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across multiple internal teams, external vendors, and customers. The ideal candidate combines engineering expertise with leadership capability, thriving in a fast-paced environment where driving innovation and operational excellence directly impact the company's growth. The role suits experienced construction professionals who have managed complex design programs and want to deepen their expertise in the high-growth data center sector.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent5+ years managing commercial construction design programs with data center experience preferredAdvanced proficiency with Excel, Smartsheets, and AutoCAD; experience with project management softwareMechanical/Electrical background and ability to interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong written and verbal communication with demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholdersMechanical/Electrical background preferred
