Principal Engineer, Heaters and Electrostatic Chuck (ESC)

This engineering position involves designing and delivering advanced hardware solutions centered on electrostatic chuck and heater assemblies used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The engineer will oversee development of both Johnsen-Rahbek and Coulombic-type ESC systems, perform materials qualification for ceramic layers, and create multi-zone heater assemblies with precise temperature control across extreme temperature ranges. The role encompasses thermal modeling, electrical characterization, process integration, and reliability analysis across the full product lifecycle. Requirements

Master's degree or PhD in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, or related field7+ years semiconductor capital equipment engineering experience with ESC or heater technology exposureDirect experience with 300mm wafer processing tools and OEM component qualificationKnowledge of high-purity ceramic fabrication, plasma chemistries, and electrostatic clamping mechanismsHands-on experience with electrical characterization equipment and FEA thermal simulation toolsStrong analytical problem-solving skills with cross-functional team collaboration abilities
