Open role
Technical Staff Device Modeling and Measurement Engineer
This position sits within Microchip’s Corporate Device Modeling and Technology Characterization Group, supporting new technology development through electrical measurements and device-model creation. The engineer will study devices such as MOSFETs, BJTs, diodes, and capacitors, then develop models that accurately reproduce their behavior in HSPICE and Spectre simulations. Responsibilities also include designing test structures, automating measurement and code-generation activities, documenting methods, troubleshooting modeling issues, and mentoring less-experienced engineers. The role is suited to an experienced semiconductor professional with strong device-physics knowledge, measurement expertise, and familiarity with modeling, layout, PDK, and programming tools. It is a non-manager position with normal business-hours work performed indoors and limited travel.
