Senior Technical Staff Engineer - SOC Verification

This position is a senior individual-contributor role within Microchip’s dsPIC Microcontroller Business Unit and global verification organization. The engineer will own verification activities from architectural planning through tape-out, covering digital IP, subsystems, and full-chip MCU integrations using simulation, assertions, formal methods, and gate-level techniques. They will work closely with architecture, RTL design, firmware, validation, and distributed engineering teams to resolve complex issues and establish scalable verification practices. The role also emphasizes functional safety analysis, fault injection, automation, AI-assisted workflows, and measurable coverage completion. It suits an experienced SoC or MCU verification specialist who can solve difficult technical problems, influence cross-project decisions, and mentor engineers without serving as a direct people manager.
