This engineer will work within the Precision Control Actuation System organization, supporting control-section integrated product teams as program priorities change. Responsibilities may include mechanical design, systems engineering, requirements and verification work, test planning and execution, hardware integration, tuning, and earned value activities. The position calls for deep expertise in control mechanism development and the ability to shape technical and organizational strategy beyond an individual program. It is well suited to an experienced mechanical engineer who enjoys hands-on hardware development, cross-functional problem solving, and mentoring or collaborating with senior technical specialists. Candidates must be U.S. citizens with an active DoD Secret clearance and substantial experience designing mechanical systems.

Requirements

10+ years mechanical engineering design experience or advanced degree with 7+ years relevant experienceExpert knowledge in control actuation systems and servo controls developmentProficiency in CREO/Pro-Engineer, GD&T per ASME Y14.5, and Matlab/Simulink/dSpaceActive, transferable DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenshipDemonstrated experience with BLDC motors, feedback control systems, and design-for-manufacturingProven ability to work autonomously while influencing organizational strategy and mentoring others
