Robotics Automation Engineer

This engineer will design, adapt, troubleshoot, and implement robotic solutions for TSMC Arizona’s semiconductor facilities. The position works across facility engineering groups, vendors, external designers, and internal stakeholders to deliver reliable automation projects from concept through deployment. Responsibilities include shaping technical roadmaps, coordinating resources, applying robotics development best practices, and translating operational needs into practical technology solutions. The role suits an experienced robotics professional with strong systems knowledge, project leadership ability, and familiarity with simulation, embedded platforms, and commercial robotic ecosystems. Candidates must hold an advanced relevant engineering or computer science degree and be able to work on-site in Phoenix, Arizona.

Requirements

Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or related fieldMinimum 3 years of hands-on robotics engineering experience including AGV/UAV systems and end-to-end product implementationProven ability to lead cross-functional technical projects with scope definition and resource managementIn-depth knowledge of commercial robotic systems and ecosystem (Boston Dynamics, Universal Robots, OMRON, Tesla Optimus, AGV/AMR vendors)Proficiency with robotics simulation tools (ROS2, Nvidia Omniverse, ISAAC Sim) and embedded systemsStrong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
