Physical Design Engineering Graduate Intern
This internship is part of Intel’s physical design organization, which turns chip designs into manufacturable physical layouts for advanced silicon products. The intern will assist with activities such as floorplanning, synthesis, place-and-route, clock tree development, static timing analysis, design optimization, and physical verification. They will also help investigate low-power techniques, improve design automation and scalability, and support signoff requirements. Success in the role involves analyzing challenging technical issues and collaborating effectively with engineers across functions. It is well suited to a master’s student in electrical or computer engineering who has introductory physical design experience and wants to develop practical semiconductor implementation skills.
