Senior Engineer, Key Account Technology

As a Senior Engineer in Key Account Technology, you'll be the critical bridge between ASM's semiconductor equipment development organization and major customer accounts, focusing primarily on PECVD process technology. Your responsibilities span new product introductions, managing technical escalations during the deployment phase, and developing best practice processes that enable customer success with installed equipment. This role suits experienced semiconductor process engineers or equipment specialists who combine deep technical knowledge with strong interpersonal skills and strategic thinking. You'll collaborate extensively across product development, sales, and customer organizations to ensure new technologies achieve market adoption and customer satisfaction. Success requires equal parts technical problem-solving ability and business acumen to influence decisions across organizational boundaries while traveling frequently to customer sites.

Requirements

5+ years in semiconductor wafer processing or capital equipment industry (or 3+ with Ph.D.)Master's degree in materials science, physics, chemistry, mechanical or electrical engineeringPrimary expertise in PECVD technology with preferred knowledge of work function, metallization, silicides, and electrodesProven ability to build long-term customer relationships and drive continuous improvement initiativesStrong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders across culturesSelf-directed problem-solver with demonstrated ability to make and execute decisions independently
