This position supports QTS data center construction and commissioning by creating plans, witnessing equipment tests, validating operating sequences, and confirming that systems meet design, safety, and client requirements. The engineer manages commissioning records, tracks deficiencies through resolution, and prepares operating procedures, maintenance documentation, and final project materials. The role works closely with development, design, project management, contractors, commissioning specialists, and facilities operations to integrate systems without disrupting active facilities. It also includes training operations personnel and coordinating approved maintenance activities through established change-control processes. This opportunity suits an experienced data center, facilities, construction, or project engineering professional who can analyze complex systems, communicate effectively, and travel regularly; U.S. citizenship is required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experienceAt least 3 years of data center engineering, commissioning, or project management experienceExperience with building maintenance, security, networking, telecommunications, or life safety systemsAbility to travel to other U.S. data center locations, approximately 50%Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applicationsU.S. citizenship required for federal customer contract work
