Senior Principal Systems Engineering Lead-SM-3 IB Tech Refresh Deputy (Onsite)

This senior leadership position supports Raytheon’s SM-3 Block IB Naval Interceptors program in Tucson, Arizona, serving as the deputy systems engineering lead for the Tech Refresh effort. The engineer will oversee systems engineering, integration, and test execution across multiple contracts, working with the program SEIT lead, Office of the Chief Engineer, program management, and other engineering organizations. Responsibilities include managing requirements and verification approaches, coordinating HIL/CIL and system integration activities, supporting qualification and production, and balancing priorities across concurrent workstreams. The role also involves cost and schedule planning, communicating risks and obstacles, and mentoring a growing engineering team. It is well suited to an experienced missile-systems leader with strong systems engineering, cross-functional coordination, and technical program execution skills.
