HRIS Software Engineering Lead

This role leads Axon's People Systems team's transition into custom application development, overseeing technical strategy and execution for tools like performance review apps and workflow automation. You'll function as a player-coach, writing production code while setting engineering standards, managing Workday security architecture, and ensuring scalable system design across integrations with Workday, AI applications, and Azure environments. The team is deliberately building its engineering practice, so you'll help shape how technical work gets done while collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders. This suits experienced software engineers who want to grow into technical leadership, have a strong foundation in JavaScript or Python, and are interested in people technology without requiring prior HRIS experience.
