Engineering Technician II, Metrology

This hands-on position supports metrology activities used to evaluate materials and semiconductor devices, both in laboratory settings and clean-room environments. The technician will run and troubleshoot instrumentation, perform established analyses, prepare samples for FIB lift-out, and communicate results to stakeholders. They will also work with engineers to improve measurement techniques while maintaining organized, 6S-compliant lab areas. The role is well suited to an early-career technical graduate or trained laboratory professional interested in entering the semiconductor industry. Success requires strong problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and adaptability to a three-shift schedule.

Requirements

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or another technical field, or equivalent experienceAbility to operate and troubleshoot metrology equipmentSample preparation experience, including FIB lift-out processes, is beneficialThin-film semiconductor analysis experience is a plusStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsWillingness to work a three-shift schedule
