Senior Principal Electrical Engineer Tech Lead

This position leads the design, development, integration, verification, validation, deployment, and sustainment of hardware and software test systems used in product qualification, production, and weapons testing. Working within RTX’s Test Solutions organization, the engineer partners with multidisciplinary teams to translate requirements into reliable laboratory and field-capable solutions. The role includes guiding experienced engineers, coordinating technical execution, troubleshooting electronics and data acquisition systems, and supporting software development and delivery for missile programs. It suits an accomplished test or electrical systems engineer who can influence across organizational boundaries while remaining comfortable with hands-on equipment work. Candidates must be U.S. citizens able to obtain and maintain the required DoD security clearance and work onsite in Tucson.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and at least 10 years of relevant experienceLeadership of complex test system engineering, including hardware/software development and validationExperience directing test equipment design, development, or integrationU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearanceHands-on experience with rack assembly, cabling, electronics, and test/data acquisition equipmentStrong troubleshooting, communication, planning, and multidisciplinary team leadership skills
