Senior Electrical Engineer, Communication and Radio Frequency (Remote Eligible | Relocation Assistance Available)

This engineer will be an early, high-ownership member of Axon 911’s hardware organization, helping define architecture, processes, and technical standards as the team grows. The work spans embedded electronics, cellular and Land Mobile Radio systems, power and battery design, high-speed interfaces, antennas, thermal constraints, and signal integrity. The engineer will take products from concept through certification, manufacturing scale-up, and mass production while coordinating with mechanical, industrial design, manufacturing, and external design partners. The position also includes technical leadership, design reviews, and hands-on validation using professional electrical and RF test equipment. It suits an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys solving complex integration problems and working across disciplines on connected hardware used in public safety.

Requirements

7+ years of embedded electronics design experience and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related fieldExperience with mixed-signal schematics, PCB layout, embedded subsystems, power systems, and high-speed interfacesExpertise in RF integration, coexistence, interference, EMC, and cellular or LMR frequency bandsTrack record taking hardware from concept through certification, manufacturing ramp, and mass productionProficiency with Cadence OrCAD/Allegro and electrical and RF laboratory test equipmentExperience with rigid, flex, or rigid-flex PCBs, tight mechanical constraints, and cross-functional design partners
