Technical Support Engineer, Axon 911

As a Technical Support Engineer on the Global Operations team, you'll be the frontline expert diagnosing and resolving technical issues for Axon 911's cloud-based emergency response platform that serves public safety agencies. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and customer success teams to maintain strict SLAs while troubleshooting complex problems involving networking, VoIP systems, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring tools. The role requires taking ownership of customer escalations, preventing issues proactively through monitoring expertise, and continuously improving support processes and knowledge bases. This position suits experienced support engineers who thrive in fast-paced environments, have deep technical knowledge of SaaS and mission-critical systems, and are motivated by the meaningful impact of supporting emergency response infrastructure that saves lives.

Requirements

5+ years experience as Tier-2/Tier-3 Technical Support Engineer in SaaS, public safety, or mission-critical environmentsStrong networking fundamentals including OSI model, TCP/IP, subnetting, and packet analysis tools like WiresharkIn-depth VoIP and Unified Communications knowledge including SIP, RTP, WebRTC, and PBX systemsHands-on experience with monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, or similar observability toolsProficiency with AWS or comparable cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud Platform)Strong analytical problem-solving skills, clear communication, and ability to work in fast-paced agile environments
