Engineer II, Configuration Engineering

The Configuration Engineer II is responsible for managing and maintaining product structures, BOMs, and configuration models within PLM and ERP systems for a major semiconductor equipment manufacturer. The role involves supporting engineering change management, validating configuration data for accuracy, and resolving discrepancies that could impact manufacturing or customer delivery. This person will work across multiple cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Order Fulfillment to ensure product data consistency throughout the product lifecycle. The position also includes participating in product release activities, supporting new product introductions, and contributing to process improvements in configuration management. This role suits detail-oriented engineers who thrive in structured environments, excel at managing complex product data, and have strong coordination and communication skills.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Systems, or Supply Chain Engineering with 3-5 years relevant experience (or Master's with 2+ years)Experience with product lifecycle management, manufacturing engineering, or configuration managementFamiliarity with BOM structures, engineering changes, and product data managementStrong organizational and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detailAbility to coordinate effectively across multiple functional teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skills
