Critical Operations Technician I

This technician works with the data center operations team to keep critical infrastructure and customer-facing systems safe, reliable, and properly documented. Responsibilities include equipment inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, facility rounds, data analysis, and emergency response. The position also delivers remote-hands support, installs customer hardware and cabling, and coordinates alerts or service requests through ticketing and change-management processes. It is well suited to someone with foundational IT, electrical, or mechanical training who enjoys hands-on work, customer interaction, and collaborative problem-solving. The schedule requires on-site coverage in a 24/7/365 facility and may involve physical tasks such as standing, lifting, bending, and climbing or reaching.

Requirements

Two or more years of technical, military, or equivalent workplace trainingBackground in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical systemsProficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applicationsAbility to troubleshoot system problems and perform corrective actionsStrong customer service, communication, and teamwork skillsAbility to work on-site in a 24/7/365 data center and meet physical demands
