Principal Engr, Automation Sustainment IV

This position sits within Raytheon’s Connected Factory Intelligence & Automation organization and supports the reliability and advancement of production automation. The engineer will debug and maintain more than 30 custom robotic systems, integrate control hardware and software, and help introduce new equipment into manufacturing. They will also coordinate with factory, facilities, and leadership teams on preventive maintenance, spare parts, production support, and broader manufacturing technology planning. The role is suited to an experienced automation professional who can lead complex projects, solve difficult control-system issues, and work across robotics, PLCs, industrial vision, and data or software platforms. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance are required, and the position is performed onsite in Tucson.

Requirements

STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years with an advanced engineering degreeAbility to obtain an interim DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship requiredExperience integrating sensors, actuators, controls, robotics, and vision systemsPLC and HMI programming experience, preferably RockwellRobot programming experience, preferably FanucExperience leading medium-to-complex automation projects
