Principal Engr, Automation Engineering IV
This position sits within Raytheon’s Industry 4.0 Connected Factory Intelligence & Automation organization and focuses on applying automation to assembly, inspection, testing, and logistics operations. The engineer will define stakeholder needs, integrate PLCs, robots, vision equipment, sensors, actuators, and manufacturing software, then validate and support the resulting systems in production. The role also involves troubleshooting, supplier or internal project coordination, and contributing to broader manufacturing technology plans. It is well suited to an experienced automation or controls engineer who can lead complex projects and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, business, and supplier teams. The position is onsite in Tucson and requires U.S. citizenship plus the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance before starting.
