Field Process Engineer (Phoenix, AZ)

This engineer supports ASM semiconductor tools from installation and qualification through high-volume production, helping resolve process, matching, stability, and performance issues. The position works closely with customer engineers, field service personnel, account teams, and global technical specialists to contain problems, identify corrective actions, and deliver lasting solutions. Responsibilities include designing experiments, analyzing process and equipment data, validating measurements, and preparing technical reports and escalation materials. The role suits an experienced semiconductor equipment or process professional who can work effectively with incomplete information, communicate clearly in customer-facing settings, and maintain disciplined change control. A background in semiconductor processing, CMP, thin films, vacuum systems, process control, or related engineering fields would be especially relevant.

Requirements

6+ years of semiconductor equipment or equivalent technical experienceBachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or physical science disciplineStrong system- and process-level troubleshooting abilitiesExperience with data analysis tools such as Excel, JMP, Python, or MATLABKnowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and high-volume fab operationsWillingness to travel internationally and support extended hours when needed
