Ocotillo Technology Fabrication Yield Analysis Engineer

This engineer will join Intel’s manufacturing and product engineering organization in Phoenix, supporting both product development and high-volume manufacturing. The work involves analyzing wafer sort, end-of-line, electrical, process, and defect data to identify yield limiters and distinguish process, test, and product-related issues. The engineer will create improved characterization methods, perform electrical failure analysis, and recommend actions that strengthen yield and reliability. Success requires collaboration with factory, process, test, and product teams, often while managing changing priorities and influencing decisions through evidence. The position suits an experienced semiconductor engineer with strong statistical analysis, structured problem-solving, and communication skills, along with an interest in using programming or machine-learning tools for large-scale data analysis.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years, master’s degree with 2+ years, or Ph.D. in a relevant STEM fieldExperience in semiconductor yield analysis, failure analysis, or process integrationKnowledge of yield modeling, SPC, DOE, statistics, and correlation analysisFamiliarity with wafer sort, defect metrology, E-test, or fab data systemsProgramming or scripting experience with Python, SQL, JMP, or similar toolsAbility to lead cross-functional problem solving and communicate data-based conclusions
