Sr Principal Test & Validation Engineer

This position serves as a technical authority for manufacturing test within the Manufacturing Design organization, supporting programs from development through production. The engineer will establish and improve test architectures, equipment, processes, capacity, and readiness across multiple factories and suppliers. Success requires close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, supply chain, and program stakeholders to resolve constraints and influence design and business decisions. The role also leads continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven methods and lean or Six Sigma principles to improve cost, cycle time, automation, and quality. It includes mentoring other engineers and leading strategic, cross-functional initiatives. It is well suited to an experienced technical leader with extensive aerospace or manufacturing test experience who can work onsite in Tucson within a cleared defense environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and at least 10 years of relevant experienceLeadership experience in a technical or manufacturing environmentExperience developing manufacturing test strategies and factory test equipmentActive, transferable Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenshipAbility to work on programs requiring special access and obtain ATF access clearanceExperience with test flows, capacity analysis, continuous improvement, or technical documentation
