Facilities Mechanical Technician

TSMCPhoenix, AZ

This technician supports the Facilities team by keeping chillers, boilers, pumps, cleanroom air systems, exhaust equipment, and related process utilities operating within required specifications. Daily work includes equipment rounds, instrument monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs to rotating machinery, troubleshooting, and documenting or escalating abnormal conditions. The position also requires compliance with safety, environmental, manufacturer, and regulatory standards in a wafer fabrication environment. It suits an experienced industrial or commercial mechanical worker who can interpret technical drawings, make sound decisions, collaborate with engineers and supervisors, and work independently. Candidates should be comfortable with outdoor and confined-space work, ladders and elevated areas, heavy lifting, respirator use, variable schedules, and possible Emergency Response Team participation.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; technical trade education preferredFive years of industrial process piping experience preferredExperience operating industrial or commercial processing equipmentKnowledge of chillers, boilers, cleanroom air systems, and air pollution controlsAbility to troubleshoot mechanical systems and interpret engineering drawingsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely at heights, in confined spaces, and with a respirator
