CMM Programmer (Onsite)

This position works within incoming quality control at Axon’s Phoenix manufacturing site and reports to the quality supervisor. The programmer will inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished goods, while creating efficient CMM programs and producing dimensional reports for FAIR, PPAP, GR&R, and corrective-action activities. The role also involves interpreting CAD data and engineering drawings, maintaining measurement databases and equipment readiness, and supporting critical-to-quality initiatives through training and reference samples. It would suit an experienced metrology or manufacturing quality professional who is comfortable with Zeiss CMMs, Calypso software, Keyence systems, and structured problem solving. Candidates should bring practical knowledge of quality systems, lean methods, SPC, and process capability along with strong programming experience.

Requirements

2-4 year technology or engineering degree, or equivalent experienceAt least 3 years of quality or manufacturing experienceAt least 5 years of optical and tactile metrology experienceAt least 5 years using Zeiss Contura, Zeiss OIS-322, Calypso, and Keyence LM systemsAdvanced Calypso programming skills, including PCM, freeform, curve, simulation, and planner modulesKnowledge of quality systems, lean manufacturing, SPC, and process improvement
